Colored pencil:

Black pencil is used to define the overall composition; applied prior to laying down color media

 

 

Dark blue pencil was used to create St. Anthony’s cloak overall

 

 

Greenish-blue pencil is applied to the lower ground layer overall and at the upper right to create the fish-like creature

 

 

 

Reddish orange pencil at right upper edge and possibly lower right area

Light bluish gray gouache was applied over pencil media in center-left and upper center-left areas in St. Anthony’s cloak to create patches, as in 8D

 

A light purplish pink gouache is applied over the bluish gray gouache passage

Thick light orange paint/pencil in lower right corner, similar to that in 8A-D

 

**linear pattern in the greenish-blue pencil in the LLC appears to pick up the mounting adhesive pattern corresponding to that on the verso
