Media

Colored pencil:

There appear to be two different densities of black pencil; a dark black pencil is used to define the overall composition and a lighter one (possibly graphite) is used to draw small figures/creatures throughout, and in some cases later strengthened in dark pencil. The black pencil is applied prior to laying down color media

Greenish blue pencil is used in areas of water/sky and in the train at the ULC, in the balloon at the URC, and in the vessel at the center-right area

Red Pencil is generally applied over the black and blue pencil has been laid down in the small creatures in the center and lower area, and at the opening of the balloon; when applied along the lower left edge, the pencil does NOT extend below the joined edge but only over and is visible along the right edge of 3A

Yellow pencil is visible in the flag and the elephant’s saddle (?) and small figures at the center right side and above in the smoke stacks emanating from the train

Green pencil is applied to the insect-like creatures in the LRC

Graphite:

Graphite or a light/hard black pencil is used to draw small figures/creatures throughout and in some cases later strengthened in dark pencil.

Composition

Drawing to sheet edges:

Media extends to some edges. All media is limited along the top edge; red pencil is absent along the lower left edge below the join, which extends into 3A; and the black pencil lines do not consistently extend along the lower left edge

Drawing into adjacent sheet:

The hot air balloon and tiny bird imagery and media extends into 3B

The composition extends quite directly to 3A, crossing over joined edges, along the left side of the sheet, most notably in the train at the top and the fish-like creature at the center; the greenish-blue pencil lines extends directly over the joined edges

Compositional changes/additions:

A small area at the center right side appear to have been slightly enlarged or  added over pre-existing drawing
