Black pencil is used to define the overall composition; applied prior to laying down color media

 

 

Greenish-blue pencil is used in upper area in the sky and in the center area in the fish

 

 

Yellow pencil is applied at the center right in the fish’s head and vertically through the center in the spray of urine (?)

 

 

Green pencil is used in the train wheels and in the water/rock formation at the left side

 

 

Touches of red pencil are visible in the umbrellas and figures in the train and the train itself

 

Graphite/charcoal:

Touches of graphite or charcoal are visible in the ULC; graphite or a lighter black pencil is used to create the figure and small insect-like creatures in the LRC

The composition extends quite directly to 3B, crossing over joined edges, along the right side of the sheet, most notably in the train at the top and the fish-like creature at the center; the greenish-blue pencil lines extends directly over the joined edges

 

The composition extends below into 4A uninterrupted; the lines best correspond when the edges are abutted and 4A is shifted slightly to the right
