Media

Colored pencil:

Two densities of black pencil are used to create the overall composition: a lighter pencil is used overall to define the composition over which colored pencil is applied; and then a darker pencil is used selectively to add lines and compositional elements in Christ’s hat and in the rays

Red pencil/conte crayon, was added in Christ’s hat and clouds over the black pencil

Yellow pencil is used in the light rays, below the yellow pastel additions

Touches of greenish blue pencil were added to tone the cross-hatched rays, particularly in the right bottom area

Pastel:

Blue pastel is used in the sky and appears to be applied over blue pencil

Yellow pastel is applied in the upper area of rays and appears to be placed over the yellow and black pencil

Light pink pastel is visible in the upper region of the rays (see notes below) and is applied over the light black pencil

Graphite:

Uncertain, not clearly visible

Charcoal:

Charcoal may have been added in the clouds as this areas, lines appearing smudged/transferred
