Composition

Drawing to sheet edges:

All edges

Drawing into adjacent sheet:

Composition closely relates to 6A, esp. in figure that overlaps edges; drawn black lines correspond closely, but not exactly; color media extend over in the lower 2/3 but abruptly end in the upper area

Composition corresponds most directly in the serpent figure at the center right edge of 6C, when edges are overlapped; also red pastel media overlaps joined edges (not below join) into 6D at bottom right edge

Composition corresponds minimally to 7B & C, artificial extension of pencil lines

Compositional changes/additions:

Extensive underdrawing/compositional changes in 6C as noted in amended image

Artist’s patches:

In 6C at top center (patch remnants remain), above figure, formerly extending into 5C, and at lower center over something protruding from figure’s rectum

Former restoration:

Extensive extending from center fold, in LRC and at top right edge

Drawing on verso:

None

Additional observations:

Some pastel extends over areas of loss onto image from former restoration
